My faculty...

Hi everybody! Today I’m going to tell you about the faculty of socials sciences of university of Chile, where I´m studying psychology. Specifically, I´m going to tell you about the current situation of psychologist´s department, then about the things that should improve, of the first steps to dealing with this situation, how would I resolve this situation and finally, I´m going to tell you about what could be the real benefits/impact of these improvements.

To begin, I must say that the situation of the department of psychology is quite good, in comparison to other careers of the faculty. I think that the problems currently presented, are related to the curriculum, problems with the practical steps in the various subjects, economics problems etc…

If I refer to the structural part of the department, I must say that the classrooms are not as modern and large classrooms like other faculties. To improve the first situation, I think it is necessary that students and teachers, talk about this topics and find possible solutions. In regard to the structural aspects, I think it is necessary to have classrooms that have more technology, which seats made with best quality.

Also, I think the psychology should have a particular building because it needed more space for students. I think it would solve many problems.
Among the benefits of a particular building for psychology, is the development of laboratories to do research. I think that is very important do research in different fields of psychologist. I think that could increase the number of subjects that dictate, and also the number of students entering the career.

Santiago!

Hi everyone!
Today I am going to tell you something about the things that you can do in Santiago and where you can go to have a good time. Although I must say that I do not know much about this city because I have only lived here very recently.
First, I would like to tell you that Santiago is the capital of Chile. It is surrounded by mountains and it has very hot summers and very cold winters. But despite this, it is an interesting place. It is also very easy to get around, because, the metro in Santiago is one of the most modern subway systems in the world.
As it is the capital of Chile, it is a cultural, administrative and financial centre. In the center of the city it is possible to find many interesting places such as Palacio de la Moneda, Plaza de Armas, the cathedral, Pre-Columbian Art Museum and Red House.
The Bella Vista bohemian neighborhood stands out for its fine dining, art galleries, pubs and houses of renowned writers. Other neighborhoods that have modern buildings and a quiet environment are Las Condes and Providencia. You can visit the San Cristobal hill and you can see a beautiful panoramic view of the city and you can visit the Zoo.
I hope you enjoy the places that I have indicated.
Bye!! =)

About my experiences during the first semester of 2009...

Hi! I am going to tell you something about my experiences during the first semester of 2009.
The last semester I learned about the different fields of psychology. I had five introductory subjects. For example, occupational psychology, clinical psychology, educational psychology among others. I think that it was very important to have these subjects for my professional formation because they let me know about some areas in which I don´t have much information.

One thing that caught my attention was the many projects in groups that I had to do. For this reason I didn’t have much free time. But, when I had free time, I watched a movie or series, slept and I was with my friends and my family.

About the challenges that I had to face, I could say that the most important was doing the projects of educational psychology. For me it was a little difficult because I don’t like this area. For example: the test that we had to do was so complicated for me.

In other aspects of my life, I can say that was fine. I didn´t have problems in my house and all my family was healthy and my friends too. I heard that one friend from school was going to be a mother, so I am so happy for her.
